1.Prof. Haseeb Kazi: Students Create Their Own Learning Experiences.
Dr. Haseeb Kazi is Professor of Mathematics at Trine University in Indiana.
Dr. Kazi is a fourth generation academic. For the past 2 decades - He has been living his dream - teaching and doing research. Prof. Kazi has been at the forefront of undergraduate research in Mathematics inspiring, promoting, guiding and facilitating student projects.

2.Lynn Pickering of the University of Cincinnati: Fuzzy Logic, and Fulbright Research Scholar.
Lynn Pickering recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
Lynn was a busy high schooler. She liked a lot of subjects, took a lot of AP classes, and was a good student. She was also into soccer & crochet. In her senior year she took an engineering class, enjoyed it, and decided to pursue it in college.

3.Prof. Sarah Sokhey of CU Boulder: Studio Lab is Where Students Start UG Research.
Dr. Sarah Wilson Sokhey is Assoc. Professor of Political Science & Studio Lab Director at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
UG Research, they say, changes career trajectories. However, the challenge for most undergraduates is knowing where to start.
This is precisely where Studio Lab comes in.
Prof. Sarah Sokhey started the Studio Lab in the Political Science department to train students to do their first research project.

4.Chiara Biddle of Ball State Honors College: Fashion Merchandising, UG Research, and Dean Search Committee.
Chiara Biddle recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising from Ball State University Honors College in Indiana.
Chiara is a “chronic achiever” with a Passion for Fashion. In High School she was in the Orchestra, Band, Student Council, Scholastic Bowl to name a few. In class she loved History, French.
But the class that changed everything for her was a Sports Marketing course. After that she was hooked on Business and Marketing.

5.Dr. Beth Beason-Abmayr of Rice University: Course-Based Undergraduate Research.
Dr Beth Beason-Abmayr is a Teaching Professor of BioSciences at Rice University in Houston, Texas.
Dr Beason-Abmayr discovered UG Research during the Summer after her Junior year in college. She subsequently did research in her senior year in genetics.
These experiences were instrumental in her decision to go to graduate school.
Today, Dr. Beason-Abmayr is leading the UG Research effort in the Biosciences department.
